Let My People Go! (2)

Jesus offers eternal living water to all who are thirsty. He says come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and "I will give you rest." This is the God who longs to set the captive free. Throughout the history of mankind God has been searching and seeking those whose hearts are turned to Him. Those who long to be out of bondage and slavery. He offers the 'promised land' which is a place of redemption, healing, restoration, and salvation.

I love this God because He desires to be intimately acquainted with His creation. 'Let my people Go' as Moses phrased it became the slogan under which Moses contended for the people of God. If you are in the wilderness, or even still under slavery then there is hope for you! God is in the business of 'letting His people Go'! You must simply come to Him to find forgiveness and reconciliation. He longs to bring freedom. He is freedom! As Daniel prayed in the 9th chapter of the book of Daniel, "O Lord, the great and awesome God who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands, we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws."
